The Stringer Chord
Our days are anchored in our Catholic faith, fueled by beautiful living books, and spent outdoors - exploring God's creation.
Our Approach
We are a Catholic family from Alabama. We are excited to share our journey with you, as we embark on our first year of homeschooling.
Focused on a timeless approach to education, our goal isn't perfection, or checking off boxes - it's pursuing wisdom and cultivating the souls of our children.

What to expect
I made this page as a way to document our homeschool journey. I wanted a place for the children and I to reflect on our adventures, but also a place for others to follow along with us.
My hope is that others may learn and grow with us. I didn't know anything about homeschooling when I first felt the calling, so I thought it may help others to have some simple resources available to answer any questions they may have too.
Why 'The Stringer Chord'?
I put a lot of thought in coming up with a fun and unique name for our homeschool. Our name has a couple different meanings.
First, we are the Stringers, and a group of 3 or more strings is called a cord. In the bible it is mentioned that "a threefold cord is not quickly broken." This can refer to a strong family unit or community, but most commonly it is referred to God being the center of our relationships.
In music, a chord is the simultanius sounding of 3 or more notes. The chords form the harmonic foundation of a song. So, our homeschool name represents the unique rhythm and harmony of our family life.
